Cowboy culture and the bus.
The Paramount show “Yellowstone” has sucked in so many people bringing the cowboy culture (and couture) to the forefront of cool. I have loved the show, but I also live in Oklahoma so seeing and working with ranchers, oil field workers, and the cowboy culture in general here is strong, whether or not it’s cool.
In 2023, our national association president initiated his theme of “Riding With The Brand” (RWTB) in supporting the protection of the REALTOR® brand. This is where the bus comes into play. What better way to spread our message across the nation by having the bus hit all the major cities where our state associations can invite their memberships to participate in our brand recognition.
It’s coming to Oklahoma City on February 14, 2023.
The giant RWTB bus will be rolling into our capital city on Valentine’s Day for part one of our two-part Capitol Conference (REALTOR® Day at the Capitol, Legislative Days) this 59th session of our state legislature. There will be no better place for the bus to park than at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, right?! Brand experts like our Lt. Governor, Matt Pinell, and former Oklahoma City Mayor, Mick Cornett, will join us for the festivities.
We hope that you will join us, not just for the chance to win the custom motorcycle, but so you can meet the leaders who are at the helm of both our Capitol and our state trade association. Maybe throw a few bags of cornhole while discussing our legislative priorities, or drink with us at the Prosperity Junction saloon at the Cowboy Museum. At the same time, we can contemplate if John Dutton will continue his term as the governor (#yellowstone).
Whether or not you want to be part of this ride, you’ll want to see its impact on our state since each real estate transaction brings in over $68,300 in economic activity. Yeah, I’d say our brand is pretty strong.
